studytest.jpgNow that we've talked about various test-taking strategies, let's take a look at some practical ways for you to prepare for your next exam.

Prepare for your next test every day

Spend 15 to 30 minutes every day to preview the notes from your last class lecture. You'd be surprised how much this will help you in preparation for your next exam.

Talk about your class lecture

A simple way to help you keep up with your classes is to verbally summarize everything you've learned in each lecture. I know if might sound silly, but by lecturing out loud to yourself – you're helping the information cement in your mind. You can do this while you're driving home.

Take good class notes

Your instructor will often highlight certain concepts that will be covered in the test. Make sure to underline the important parts of each lecture so you know the areas to pay special attention to when you're studying.

Use flashcards

Flashcards can help you memorize facts quickly. You can pull them out whenever you're not busy and instantly begin studying.

Review your syllabus

Make sure to check your class syllabus to make sure you're aware of all the chapters covered in the test.
